Valley is a boutique production agency built around storytelling, craft, and connection.
Founded by Director/DP Joe Spiers, Valley brings together years of experience in film, music, and branded content - creating visual work that feels authentic, yet considered and cinematic.

For me, filmmaking started as curiosity - a way to capture what I was seeing and feeling. Over the last six years it’s grown into something much bigger: a passion for visual and audio storytelling, and for the challenge that comes with an ever-evolving creative and technical industry. I studied film and television, earning a Level 6 Diploma, but most of my knowledge comes from hands on experience - working with artists, festivals, and brands across New Zealand and beyond.

Attention to detail is everything to me. From framing and composition to sound and pacing, every element plays a part in how a story makes people feel. That focus on craft carries through every project I take on.

Beyond execution, Valley is about people. The relationships built along the way are what make the work meaningful. I value collaboration and trust, and I’m passionate about forming long-lasting friendships with the people and teams I work with.
